Thompson Welcomes David Brenno as Decorah General Manager

Decorah, Iowa – Thompson Truck & Trailer is a family-owned, full-service commercial truck dealership serving customers in 6 locations across Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. Thompson expanded into Eastern Iowa back in 2005, when it purchased the International Truck dealer in Decorah. Over the last nearly 20 years, Thompson has been serving customers in the area by providing parts, service, and truck sales to the surrounding community.

Earlier this summer, Thompson welcomed Dave Brenno as Decorah’s General Manager. Dave comes to the organization with decades of sales and management experience and is a well-known face in the community – currently serving as the Mayor of Cresco, Iowa! He’s been a Sales Manager for several other dealerships and his background in automotive and equipment will make him a great asset for the organization. “We’ve got a great crew in Decorah, Dave will help to give us the consistency and the leadership that we need in that location,” said Thompson Service Director, Matt Burton. “His background has made him a quick study, he’s been able to jump right in.”

Dave joins a strong existing team and has been able to hit the ground running. Brandi Brockob and Jordan Seelinger as Parts Specialists, Kevin Dotzenrod as Thompson’s new Service Advisor, and several diesel technicians committed to maintaining and repairing local trucks. “We have a huge opportunity to serve customers in this area,” said President & CEO, Travis Thompson. “Having a strong leader that knows the community will make us even better for our customers.”

Like many businesses, Thompson has been faced with supply chain and workforce challenges over the past few years. The company remains committed to serving the customers in the Decorah area, and throughout Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. The addition of Dave Brenno is one example of the investment Thompson exhibits to customers and to the trucking industry as a whole.
